Hubby had agreed to let me divide our 33Gal into 4 (plus a bit for the filter and heater). That was going to be for Disco (rip), Kofi, Nero and Diesel.
We'd both wanted a Mustard Gas betta for ages...
Well, I saw this really unusual little chap on Aquabid a marble MG HMPK (the seller is also sending this little chaps female sibling too)

Then I saw a practically perfect MG HM - really lovely definitions between the bands of colour

Unfortunately (or fortunately, depending on how you look at it) I then saw this really cute MG HMRT (the seller is also sending this little chaps female sibling too)

I can divide the 33Gal for them - will give them 5.5 Gal each although one will have to share with the filter which will have a spray bar so will be outlet across all sections. I'll add an extra piece of mesh across the intake and pop one of the PK's in there.

 You are a bad influence, I've been looking at the 60 litre thinking mmm another betta maybe. Inky has certainly turned me to the betta side, haven't told Paul though. Let us know how you get on.

I know the feeling! Haven't even finished setting up my new divided 60l and I'm eyeing up my next tank!

*sigh* they're addictive, but worth it!

Well, this will have to be it for boys LOL
I can't divide the 33Gal into smaller sections - not practical at all.
The 7.5Gal in the living room (where the current 3 boys are for the moment) is to be shut down, except for use as QT.

Umm I just bought some very expensive fish - oops!
Shipping cost to transhipper = very reasonable.
Transhipper fees = very reasonable.
TNT shipping from Germany to UK = very unreasonable - ouch!

Looks like some-body's going to be busy

You went with it then? Love to hear if they arrive OK. The mustard gas is awesome, I'm on the lookout for a pale one atm but haven't seen anything as nice as that!

Busy?
I think I need to get my online (non-fish) store up and running to pay for my oops, because (from various sources) I've spent over £300 on fish in the past couple of weeks

LOL yep, Ellena, I went with it.
I fell in love with them - so pretty and got a girl thrown in to the "bargin" too.

Arrgghh Just found out that the next shipment isn't going to be for another 4-6 weeks :shout:
Patience is not my middle name LOL
How am I going to wait that long?

*chokes on her tea*

on just fish? or on fish stuff including fish...?

on the other hand I don't suppose I can talk because my grandparents gave me £500 for my bday (2 weeks ago) and aside from a new computer at £150, all the rest is going/has gone on fish related stuff...

think my divided tank will be set up slightly sooner than I originally planned :D although might not be ready for actual fish until after xmas...

I've not even finished setting up my 60l divided and I'm already looking for my next tank! XD That's just how obsessed I am I guess XD

Yeh, having discovered I cant put small fish in my Rio 240, I now have 4 fish in my QT which need a home pretty fast so I'm going to have to set up another tank. So I reasoned to hubby it would be more sensible to build a stand and have space for 2 2footers, plus the QT on top instead of on the kitchen worktop.

I'm now wondering if I can progress this to a larger stand with a 4 footer underneath, 2 2footers side by side above (at least 1 will be divided), then the QT on the top with the possibility of putting a 3 footer next to it in the future (although currently will probably be used to store crap lol)

I'm making the suggestion tonight, depending on whether my friend's spare tank that she has collecting rainwater in her back yard is the correct size or not. Wish me luck LOL :hyper:

oh no i couldnt wait that long for those beauties! the first one....

your total for fish makes me feel better! I get discount at work so i have no idea how much im spending....i reason with myself that its a bargain....

I guess i wont be getting my CTs from aquabid then!
