hi.
im getting a few new arrivals of red cherry shrimp and i just want to know if shrimps are affected in any way with white spot. Im asking this because i am going to use java moss from a tank that has been recently infected with white spot and i dont want any of my shrimps dying. Nothing will be in the tank except the rcs.
Thanks in advance.

i would not take anything from a tank that's had a recent white spot outbreak regardless of what is in the tank now or in the future.

java moss is not hard to get hold off, can usually find someone selling it on ebay for a few pounds, do that instead

shrimp don't get whitespot. The whitespot parasite is unable to burrow into the shell of the shrimp and as such it has nothing to hold onto. This leaves the parasites swimming around the tank until they die a few days later.
You can also wash or rinse the Java Moss before you put it in the new tank. That will reduce the parasites and also rinse off any medication from the tank.
