I Rescued A Beauty

Hi everyone,

I spotted this little fella on Sat at my local garden centre, he was selling for a fiver so I had to buy him.

What do you guys think? does he look healthy? because his fins are trasparent and I am not sure if this is down to previous poor care? and also his tail is different from the other Bettas I have kept. Any info would be great

Excuse the dirty glass, will clean it when the little one has settled in.

He seems happy and I have been feeding him 1 Hakari Betta pelet 3 times a day to try and get him up to strength.

I wouldn't quote me, but it looks to me like a cellophane double tail betta - so if I'm correct, don't worry as he's supposed to be that way. He's lovely

Thanks guys, I was a little worried because his body seems quite short/stumpy and I thought he may have a health condition.

I see what you mean with his body. He sounds healthy enough by the sounds of it though!

The body does look slightly strangely shaped but I'm sure he'll be fine with lots of loving care. What a gorgeous tail! Lovely fish.

Not sure how old he is to be honest, he loves his new home tho with all the live plants to rest on.
