Byron gave me ideas for corydoras and then I went down a rabbit hole of fish.... I cant stop! I have tried so incredibly hard not to be obsessed but I cant. I have now gone down the trail of endangered species that arent even recognized by conservationists and the pretty much the only thing keeping them from extinction is private hobbyists. Freshwater fish are the most rapidly declining vertebrates on earth

Guys I need help I cant afford to love fish this much what do I do

Just love them even more!! Lol I am exactly the same

Lol but I can afford it! I went down the hole of species that are going extinct but nobody cares and people are trying to get hobbyists to save them and I want to but I'm broke and cant!

Well what I do is get the fish and I sneak them in the house without hubby seeing anything. Try doing it when they are not home

Yes I am thinking of instead of getting the fish in my thread -"probably overstocked but..." - getting some of the rarer fish that need conservation. Would that mean moving my rummynose and otos to have a species only tank?

If I didnt do that ì would need another tank

That would be a question for the others, I am not in check with otos and rummies unfortunately. Hopefully something can be worked out

I hope so! Ahhhhh now I want a fish room and breeding setups and everything

I agree this hobby cost a lot...

At some times it is so frustrating that you can't afford thing you want. I feel you.. :(

Fish keeping is addictive...
We have so many species of fish to choose...
Some are unique, some are beautiful and some are intelligent and will respond to you..
Corydoras are cute and their schooling behaviours are interesting to watch..
My Discus will come to the front and near to me whenever I go near to the tank...
I consider them as more intelligent fish that will respond to you..

I used to have a group of African catfish called Synodontis Petricola.... They are extremely cute when they are small but they grew to quite large..

But fish keeping require a lot of work especially if you have a few tanks and if you want to keep the tanks if tip top conditions...
