I purchased an injured Cherry Barb

Peggy it is!
Out of the billions of internet enabled people on this planet.....a one person poll. The winner voted for by the organiser of the poll who voted for the one choice out of the three that he didnt nominate that was actually nominated by the fish’s mam in the first place.....and now for the weather.

I belated vote Peggy too. Had a dog named Peggy growing up, she was the healthiest, sweetest natured dog ever, who lived to 18 years old. I call that a good omen that your Peggy will be bounce back and be healthy and long-lived :)

I forgot my friend's little girl is Peigí (Peggy in Irish) so I might not mention I named my wonky fish that  she's hiding out a bit today. No one ate - they didn't realise I was feeding them so the pellets sunk.

My ammonia is 0, nitrite 0 & nitrate 15. Haven't seen any poop from them. I think I'll the Anti-Fluke Wormer as NC suggested to be safe.

Sometimes fish won't eat the first few days in a new tank, they're still stressed and settling in, so try not to panic yet. Some will eat within minutes of going into a new tank, some take a few days.
Sometimes some live or frozen food will tempt them.

Hope they settle in and eat soon! The wormer might be a good idea though.

Peggy Update  she's healing very well. Her colour is darker than the other females but she's definitely healing. She's very fast, with the group a lot but also a bit pushy at times towards the others.

So glad she's doing well! I have to admit, when you immediately got attached and named her, I was inwardly like "please don't die, please don't die!" and worried a bit. But she's through the worst, tough girl she is!

Oh me too! Once her colour picks up I won't be able to tell them apart. So relieved she's doing better. You could tell that side was hurting her but she's more even now, not tilted. And it's recovered lots.

Cherry barbs are indestructible. I've tried to kill mine multiple times.

I need indestructible. I've had way too many fish deaths since my first tank's crashed fish in cycle. 3 months at the hobby and things have calmed.

Update on Peggy.

As she got better she was bossing other females. She still looked darker so I thought her colour would lighten when healed.

She's healed with a slight scar. And her colour has actually darkened.

I think Peggy is a Pete.
