while doing a water change on my bristlenose fry tank one of the little buggers managed to get itself into a plastic cup i use to control the the water when im hosing it back in the tank. i use a rock to weigh this down, hose into that. so i removed it as normal emptied the water out and placed it on my shelf in my fishroom. the next day i needed to use the cup so removed the rock and found a baby bristlenose there, immediately i was p****d with myself for leting this happen then noticed it move!!! i put some water in the cup and it started to suck onto the sides. i left it there a few minutes and it looked fine so put him back in the tank to see him swim over to the cucumber!!! he was in the cup with no water and i worked it out at about 22 hours!!!! just shows how hardy these little plecs are!!!!

Wow lol was he totally dry?

I found a couple sitting on the floor after being out of the water all day long. They were up inside a plastic ornament I took out of the tank to net some fish, which covered them and kept them from drying out for hours while I was at work. Surprising they lived that long out of water, but as long as their gills stay wet they can breathe.

That's what I noticed, his gills moving. He did look dry but the room he was in was quite humid so this probably helped. They must have been the tiniest layer of water where he was.
