I Only Found 2 Babies, Need Help?

Hi everyone,

Well my Mickey is having her fry, but so far I have only found 2. I am concerned that the other fish maybe getting to them before I can. Should I move her into a Net or Breeder Trap? I have both, the male Mickey keeps nipping at her area and she keeps swimming away from him. No matter where she goes he follows her. I really want these babies to make it. Anyone have any suggestions. My guppy I believe is in the process of giving birth in the 5 gal tank. Should I move the Female Mickey into that tank too? Also, when ever I separate the male from her, he goes after my sunburst platty and starts nipping and chasing her. What should I do? Please help, this is my first experience with preganant fish and babies.

If she is in the middle of birthing currently, I wouldn't touch her. I know you want some of the babies to make it, but there will be more. Move the male out if he is looking for a snack. Make sure the fish are fed well. It may reduce the chance of eating fry.

Thank you very much. I went ahead and moved the Male to a different area so that he can't get to her anymore. I will leave her alone and just keep watching.
