It's not a walmart bash thread, don't worry
I went there to pick up bulbs, and saw a BEAUTIFUL little girl... I don't have room or a tank for girls but... you know.. I could not stop myself. Simple as that. She was so precious.
I know girls need to be in groups, so I'm going to try my best and save some money, and get the 10 gallon set up in the next week or 2... Just a few questions.
How many girls SHOULD I have (not can I have) in a 10 gallon? I want as few as I can have without fights... is 4 enough?
Also, can they be in community tanks? I'm sorry I sound like such a n00b, I've only delt with males! I know they are still aggressive, but considering she's very small (the same size, shape, and similar colors as my bloodfin tetras) I was thinking POSSIBLY she would be ok in there, am I wrong? Or is it something that REALLY depends on the fish, and I'll just have to see for myself? It would jsut be until I got her a tank of females, unless of course she gets along very well with the tetras. (they do not nip at all)
Oh... And, very unfortunatly... I just realized that my very ill betta I moved into the hospital tank seems to have died while I was at Walmart...Which is rather bittersweet... I am not in desperate need of a new tank now, and the girl does not HAVE to be in the community... Unless she enjoys it, which considering her size and likeness to the tetras, I think is possible...
Any suggestions or links? I'll get photos when she's in a tank. Thanks,
Katy
