He will dash about in it, but sometimes they don't it depends, but he's suffering so nothing can be worse.

Just done it --- It was the worst thing i've ever had to do in my life - I feel sooo bad - I'm nearly crying.

I put the vodka and water mix in a chinease take-away container and put him in and placed some fish bags over the top and held them down so if he tried to jump out then the bags would stop him... I put him in and nothing happened, so I attented to the tank i'd just removed him from which looks really bad now - it's brought up all the crap of the bottom...
Anyway, next thing I know he's jumped out.. so I put him back in and held the bags over the top and he started jumping into my hand that was over the bags... it was awful.. It took about 3 minutes but it seemed to take ages.. I do feel soo bad - because it's like I didn't give him the chance to survive

RIP Little Man - I'll always remember you. I cannot believe i'm pretty much crying over killing a fish..

Yes alot calmer way of sending a fish to fishy heaven, ive used the vodka method and i won't use it anymore, but there wasn't any other options apart from hitting it on the head, and same as you i couldn't do that either.
