I won the auction on Aquabid for a marble copper plakat about a week ago. I posted on it with pictures. The betta arrived today. The one I won and two other extra male plakats were all DEAD!!! :-( :-( :-( I am emailing the man as we speak. It's so depressing. Poor things were so beautiful too. :byebye: :rip: By the way, I don't mean to be depressing, I just need some support. Those poor things.... :-(

Oh :byebye: did you take some clear digital pictures of the dead fishies in their sealed bags? Then the person should re pay you and/or offer to send more.
I'm sorry this had to happen, I love marble plakats.

So sorry to hear! :rip: pretty plakats! That is horrible, if he doesn't give you your money back and give a sincere appology, give him to us, we'll be glad to handle him... :shifty:

I took tons of pictures, It's hard to get clear ones. But I got some. I emailed them to him and if he doesn't offer to send more I'm going to write negative comments on his aquabid thing. :( I don't know what to do with them yet, they are still sitting there in the bags. :-(

Those poor babies!!! That's horrible! I would be devastated to wait for them to arrive and then open the box to dead fish. I'm so sorry for you and your bettas. :byebye:

If I were you, and he doesn't refund the money, as gross as it sounds, would pack them back up and send them to the seller. You don't have to pay for dead fish. maybe he will get a wakeup call then. But good luck on getting through to him verbally first. Then break out the big guns.

Have a little ceremony for them and bury them in your garden somewhere.

How horribly devistating that must have been for you.

Please make him explain to you how this is could have happened.

If I were you, I would probably get my money back and go elsewhere to get fish. If you get more, they would most likely be packed and shipped the same exact way as the other ones and the new ones would end up the same way.

if he gives you your money barry them and give them a nice funeral!! :) if he give you your money and asks for the fish back.. give them back or you can ask for a trade the dead ones for some new ones!

Oh gosh :-( ! That is so sad!

I don't see WHY he wouldn't refund you and give you new babies. Anyone with half a brain would be logical enough to know they have to do that. How many days were they in transit to you? From where and to where?

Let us know what comes of this :-(

Most sellers will request photos of them still in teh bag, to prove they are dead.

Before you go leaving negetive feedback (which could lead to YOU getting negetive feedback), how did you have them shipped? Express/Overnight or Priority? Did the seller guarantee in his auction write up "live delivery" even with Priority shipping? Often they refuse to be responsible for dead fish unless you had them shipped Express/Overnight.................. Just an FYI....

Sorry to hear they arrived dead. :( That's always my biggest fear when I get fish in the mail. I open the box hoping that they all made it. Always a nail biter moment for me......

Do not open the beg. Keep taking pictures until you got a clear one. Send it to the seller and just wait for the news.
How long is the shipment is? One day, two days, three days? Did you let them outside in the heat? What do they look like in the beg? Dirty color brown? Are they from Canada or USA? Are you in Canada?

don't go blaming anyone fish are animals and it could be they just didn't travel that well, and have got to hot or too cold somewhere on route to you, its a sad thing and have had only one shipment were had fish dead and that didn't come in on my main shipment he forgot to put some fish in and then sent them by ems and out of 26 only 13 made it, on a normal shipment shipped one day i get the next apart from a few slight damage fins which grow back they are in tanks within 24 hours of leaving thailand......i always Dredi when i send fish back out as to how they have been treated in the post and have they made it nail biting moments until emails say fish arrived all well very happy cant stop looking at them etc etc........just email him and tell him what has happened and I'm sure he will sort you out with something similar....... and he may want picturesof the fish in unopned bags:D
