I Need Pics Of Sand

My 145 gallon South American with Quikrete Brand Playsand:

I used Hagen Natural river sand in "black" (more like dark grey). I really like it :) Its a bit more course than normal sand but still sandy.

Argos play sand :) tis is the day after the sub change. All I did was a quick bucket wash before puting in. Stuff is very clean

Thanks. I'm actually switching over to black sand when I get out of school next week. :D

Why boo? I think it's going to look much better and the fish are going to have much more color than on the bright sand. I'm also going to switch out the wood for something more branchy so there is more open space in the tank...

Lots of changes over the next few weeks... I'll update when it's done. :hyper:

my betta tank with white reptile LFS sand - pain in the backside for this type of tank with the regular water changes stirring it all up! but looks nice enough! :good:
 
I use pool filter sand. $10 for the whole 55 gallon aquarium. I got it at my local hardware store in the pool supply section.
