I have just set up a sand tank, and I want to try my hand at some live plants. However, I've run short of ideas for types of plants, and I'm just no good at arranging plants to look natural, so if you have a tank your proud of, please post it here!

Thanks

Here is my tank.
Ok it has gravel instead of sand but I am proud of it all the same.
It has gone from having a load of ornaments in it to this new more natural look, the only thing that it has in now that is not natural is a cave ornament which I don't want to remove as my upsidedown catfish loves this cave.
You can see the hatchery in this pic, it has my molly fry in it, they are 11 days old now.

I am looking forward to seeing other tanks on this thread.

My tank has a few Echinodorus species, Vallis, floating Salvinia, Java Fern, and one or two others:

catfish your water looks low in that tank. but yea im going to make over my tank with live plants, white gravel or white sand, and some wood and rocks.
can't wait till next week. :)

I just planted this one Friday. It will look alot better as the plants grow and fill in.

My aquatic jungle - the pic was taken a few months ago - there are now no sailfins (the white fish) and the plants are even bigger.
