To summerize:

Most of my fish had Ich which I thought I was treating with green malachite.

But now all of a sudden they have white patches, cloudy eyes, fin rot etc. Basically now they are full of a lot of diseases that have come on in the last day!

It says on the net that diseases come on with poor water quality (which was fine before the medication) so my dilema is..

Do I change the water and add more treatment to the new water? Or do I leave it??

Meh.. its ok.. most of them are dead now. My plec may yet survive.

Some meds will kill the bacteria in your filter....Keep testing your water during treatment you might get ammonia and or nitrite spikes. Daily partial water changes may be needed depending on your stocking.

If only I had known sooner! Yeah.. Got one fish left. Would have had more but my putz of a dad "accidently" turned my heater off all night when he was messing with the plugs.

Total Tankpocolypse.

Thanks anyways!

How many gallons or litres is the tank.
How many fish and which type.
Water stats in ammonia, nitrite, nitrate, and ph.

The white patches are they fluffy looking.
Or has the spots joined up to form a patch.
Finrot common on top of whitespot.
Cloudy eyes is a symtom of a desease, not a desease in it's own right.

Have you raised temp to 30.
Have you increased aeration.
Have you removed black carbon from filter.

If you have to preform a water change during a med course, you just add the correct amount of med back to water removed.
