So, here's what happened..

I got a betta on ebay for $15 last week. My boyfriend was on my ebay account and bid on a betta for $5.99 +$25 S&H. He didn't tell me about this until just now and there is only 30 minutes left to bid on it! I don't have room for another fish, not to mention I can't afford it right now.

If ANYONE could go on and buy this betta to save my butt, I would be forever grateful.

Here is the link: <a href="http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewI...em=170268351123" target="_blank">http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewI...em=170268351123</a>

Boyfriends are nice, but not too bright sometimes

Edit: It's too late :( Time is up. I guess I'm going to have to work something out.

Oh MY!!!! Is that him...find room...he's gorgeous!

Yep, that's him.. I can -make- the room.. it's the $25 for shipping I can't really deal with. But I've got a good friend who offered to pay for him as a late birthday pressie! Yay! I get to have him after all!

Lol why would ur bf bid on your account for a betta w/o your knowledge?... that sounds interesting

I would be less than thrilled.

He is certainly a stunning guy. You'll have to post up some pictures if you can once u get him! I'd love to see more of him.

a lot, and i mean a lot! of couples share their ebay accounts, me and my fella do to. we both have access to it so why bother to have two accounts? (i know its against the rules to share but pffffft to them!)

in future piggy you can withdraw your bid if there is more than 12 hours left on the auction, you'll have to look for the link as i only have the ones for ebay.co.uk and ebay.be

or you can mail the seller and they can cancel your bid (again there must be 12 hours left of auction time)

or if time runs out, after auction ends you can 'mutually agree' not to go ahead with the transaction. the seller has to go to this option on their ebay account and send you the form. but you have to click the right box in order for them to get their fees back and able to relist the 'item' not all sellers agree but at least they cant leave you a neg anymore!

Lol i always seem to get fish for my birthday and my boyfriend is the culprit of that. He knwos how much i love fish but doesnt understand the fish to tank space ratio!

Hes a gorgeous fish. If only i could find a decent place where i live or someone who could ship to Australia. Theyre beautiful on that ebay link.

haha. i guess i'm just the tech guru and big spender in the relationship. If it were up to my gf, my ebay account would be deleted

Ok, so I don't mean to sound wishy-washy, but I'm actually -not- getting this betta. :-( The seller finally wrote back to me and said that it's no problem at all for me to cancel. And, even though I'd love to have him, I'm not in a position to take on more than I have right now. *sigh* But in a couple months, who knows...

Aww but thats still good news. At least you didnt get it if you couldnt cope with another. =]
