I need help pick out a fish tank

lol i love cory cats also im deffinetly gonna buy a school of those once the cycle is compleate, how long around will it take?

Hi keeper-of fish :)

It's hard to say. It will all depend on how much bacteria you start out with. Some things it doesn't pay to rush. But think about this: once you have that tank cycled and stocked, if you want to set up another, smaller, tank you can do it by taking gravel and filter material and just make a clone of the big one. Ready to go instantly. ;)

So take your time and do this one right. I know it's hard to be patient, but it will be worth it in the long run! :nod:
 
Inchworm is providing some great advice. The only thing I have not noticed is whether your question about rocks from the yard has been answered. All I can tell you is I have heard if you pour vinegar on a rock and it bubbles a bit then it contains too much calcium and you should not use it. If any one can elaborate on that I would like to know. I am not sure about whether other rocks are bad or not though.
(I would'nt worry about it if it passes the vinegar test, but I would not base much on what I do not worry about :D )
