My female betta fish was in a community tank for a short period of time because her 5 gallon had a crack. She was with 2 females guppies and one male, I think she thought that he was a male betta because she produced eggs. Now they’re just sitting there. I’ve read that betta fish getting egg bound is rare, and that they’ll absorb them once they realize there’s no male around, but she hasn’t. At all. It looks the same. It’s been at least 2 full weeks of her developing eggs and she’s full of them. I bought a male so I could try to help but he came in the mail and was smaller than her. I don’t know what to do. It was a stupid mistake and I know, but I just need help on what to do lol

She will be fine. If she expelled the eggs they will get eaten and , if not , she will absorb them. Not sure if that's correct ( absorbing ) but nothing bad happens anyway. Fish are really tough . They endure things we think they can't.
She still has them.
