So I just got myself a few brig apple snails a week or so ago, and I've been feeding them various veggies. I discovered that they like dandelion leaves, from another forum, and went and got some.
My ottos are also dining on them. I've never seen my ottos eat so much. I just thought I'd pass that along. A search for 'dandelion leaves' doesn't turn up this random fact for me. I figured someone might find it useful.
I simply wild picked my clean dandelion leaves and shoved them into the freezer. After a day or so in there, I thaw and server. I've read of others doing the more normal blanching method, but haven't tried it yet.
