I Just Can't Stop!

i found my tank stats...

roughly...

910mm long
370mm wide
500mm high

(this last part someone replied to me with)

Dimensions 91 x 37 x 50cm/36" x 15" x 20
Surface area 0.34 sqm/3.66 sq ft/ inches sq in
Volume 168 l./37 gal. (44.38 US gal.)
Probable volume 151 l./33 gal. (40 US gal.)

Actually based on the tanks size, i would not say it is over-stocked or over-crowded- you still have some space to stock more fish if you want to. However i would still advise keeping an eye on certain fish- the gourami's and angels may become territorial towards each other in time to come, and bumblebee gobies are not very competitive fish and may find difficulty finding all the food they need. Do you have a sand or gravel substrate in the tank :) ?

here is a pic of it...

that was when i first got it.

i have heaps more fish and plants now

thanks emmsy

im pretty proud of it. it was an ebay special....i got it for $227.50 lol

it came with the light, canister filter, glass cleaners, 2 gravel vacs and fish food. i think i got a good deal.

nobody else in my family is as into fish as me. i think i get it from my deceased grandad. he use to have a MASSIVE salt water tank. im REALLY not responsible enough for a salt water! lol

Nice tank

Going by your tank dimensions, fine as you are- but no room for others unless very small (tetras are my thing, but have to have enough room for them to shoal ie 6 minimum)

If you have real plants with a decent substrate than this should allow you to have perhaps a couple of inches more 'fish' as a planted aquarium allows a bit more room for 'the odd fish' IMHO. Allows more breathing space for an extra fish.

But, nothing worse to look at, than a 'busy' tank ie too many fish.

Put another tank on your Birthday/Christmas list- you will reap the benefits.

thanks guinness

yeah they are live plants.

i like the tetras and that, but i dont think they would last long with my gourami's. they are mammoth! il try and take a pic of the bigger one, length and width wise. they both have big guts on them! lol

i might leave my tank as it is. ive got a bad feeling if i put more fish in there...

actually i have about 3 of those plastic desk tanks...what can i put in there besides a gold fish? obviously i cant put a heater in there lol

Tetras will be fine with Gouramis- no problems at all.

Look on your local e bay for a small tank- probably not so easy for you to pick up in Australia, mileage wise, but you will get a bargain if they post.

Good luck
