I just about passed out! HELP... ME

I don't like ANY of the mosses, too dang messy, IME...but, they do provide excellent cover for eggs & fry

Pearlweed would probably work too. I have it as a carpet in my guppy tank, the fry hide real good in that stuff, even with khuli loaches squiggling about.
You don’t have to plant it tho, just toss a clump in as a floater and it should take off in no time.

And, just wondering, if you have a established tank already, why don’t you just squeeze some filter media into your qt tank to help speed up the cycle a notch or two? Or even swap some media? Run a sponge filter in your main tank a few weeks and throw that in the qt tank would also help.

Its almost done cycling... Shouldn't be much longer

Yah I saw that thread... I'm not as concerned now LOL... How are you handling your fry?
The first 200 is the easy part, they have a place in the grow out. I do not want to overcrowd them. It is everyone that will likely come later this month. I plan to move momma with an inexperienced male for a minute. No guarentee there won't be fry. However, if he fumbles this months brood, then there will be a break in fry, or even just a smaller brood. Husband is cool with getting the clear totes instead of more tanks, he is going to set me up metal shelving unit this weekend and help me make this weird "fry" bank.:fun:

30 baby fish is a good number to work with. Not too many to keep or rear up. But enough to pick a few out to keep and the rest should be easy to sell to a pet shop.

Some of the cichlid people can end up with 500+ babies from a batch and the shops might take 10 or 20. But peacock gudgeons are small and sell more readily than most cichlids so you should be fine.

So... I woke up to find this sight...

@itiwhetu there you go. There are so many I could take a pic that's not all of them though... But now I just about passed out cause I dont know how in the heck I'm going to go about this... There has to be 15 or more! HELP ME...
Well done, just leave them where they are. If you are going to move them to the ten gallon don't bother about fully cycling it, just make sure there are a lot of plants. The bio load of these little guys will be tiny, especially if you are feeding infusoria.

Ok. I may get some potted amazon swords and put them in the qt tank as well as some other cheap plants that grow kinda fast. Thanks
