as the title says! lol
i have 2 black widow tetra. 1 evil gourami. one very large golden zebra tetra. and a 9" pleco. its a 4ft tank.

is it possible????

I would just get rid of your fish now if you really want discus just to be safe, also discus require a lot of care and different water conditions

i put a gourami in with my discus once and they hated it, they hid, tetras are ok as long as they're not small enough to get eaten. Do plenty of research on discus then make up your mind as there is alot to consider like water parameters, tank size etc
regards Angel

If you want discus, I'd devote the tank to discus. And just have them and maybe quiet, peaceful tankmates --- like rummynose tetras and a bristlenose pleco.

Your large plec would be okay, I guess, but definately no danios or gouramis.

i had gouramis with my discus the discus seem to hide more now that there gone, though they also managed to live for a while with a 4" rtbs untill he started hated gouramis so i decieded it was time for rtbs to go and gouramis got a nice new tank.

Tetras should ideally be kept in groups. I think black widows can be fin nippers so they are out.

Gouramis can be troublesome so they are out.

Large Plecos can suck on the sides of Discus so that is out.

If your tank is a min of 18" high and you are prepared to provide the correct conditions Discus require and do plenty of research on them before purchasing then go for it.

ok thanx for everyones help - they sound liek hard work so maybe not a good idea for me who is just starting out with tropical fish. shame cos they are beautifull!

Puffers are generally pretty aggressive and should be kept on their own. Plus alot of them need brackish water.
