Everything looks great!  I had no idea that they can make a heater for a tank that size.  I learned something new today :)  Any idea on what kind of Beta you want?  I have a crowntail beta.  Remember, you can only have one in a tank, so choose wisely.  ;)

All sounds good. Gonna look good too :)

Not too sure if you have had tanks before, if not, then would recommend you read about fish less cycles, click on link top of this page - Cycling a Tank.

Then you're good to go!

As mentioned, can only get one betta for a 5 gal tank. Maybe you could add a few snails as well if you like. :)

Looks good!
Not sure about that heater though, you generally want 1 watt per gallon. So, for a tank like you linked, you would want 20-25 watt heater. Since it says its fine for up to 5 gallons it may be fine. :)

Hi looks like a good plan, I have that same tank heater and thermometer. I use it for a qt tank.. And that heater keeps it toasty, I sometimes have to unplug it during the day

Be careful of the decor because it does have the possibility to snag fragile betta fins.  Make sure and run some pantyhose over it to make sure it is safe before adding to your tank.  I also would recommend a heater of around 25 watts for a 5 gallon.  Everything else looks good to go.  :)   Make sure you read up on cycling the tank before adding any fish and you will be set.

Ok. And kittycook, I have my betta, but he is in a too small bowl. So Im getting these things when I can and then as soon as I get the tank he is going in there, then Im getting the heater, and everything else follows.
