I have 90 gallons of enclosed water in my home and I swear it's the only tacky ornament I possess lol

Am a bit worried that he is breathing heavy, has been doing that on and off all day, I hope it's just him settling in and nothing serious

Could you name the ebay seller and include what search u done on ebay to find him..did u type "betta" or "fighting fish" or what?

I think he'd appreciate you removing the internal filter and placing the foam from it into an air powered filter, the current is clearly pushing him around

I've turned the filter off, they are all so different aren't they, because Eric loves the flow, he plays in it. I didn't even consider that the filter would be throwing him about but he does seem happier now it's off. I could leave him without a filter at all and do 50% weekly w/c to be honest, that would be 2.25g a wk.

I was thinking of doing that. might try it for a bit before bedtime.
I'm not used to this, because before with my other boys they were all unfiltered and had 100% weekly water changes. So it's a new experience for me keeping a betta in a tank that is under 7 gallons with a filter.
It's a superfish one 200lph 6w thingy, quiet as you like, I love the filter can't hear a thing!

Yep I've swung the spray bar round to point towards the tank wall and he's fine with that, I feel like a betta beginner all over again!
I want the filter on for obvious reasons but also because I want to put some pygmy cories in there too and they need filtration

Glad he is coping with that! That is much better in the long wrong. I have no clue with cories, anyone want to teach me? lol

p.s. I feel a new betta owner with my divided tank set up as not done one before! lol and you are much much much more experienced than me!

He was waiting to greet me this morning, was excited lol
He's not that interested in eating yet but it comes with time
Just a bit annoying that the food sinks to the gravel then he ignores it completely

The tank is lovely....just the inhabitants that drive me nuts ......three DP's that are the messiest things on the face of the earth , but all doing well! Had to replace the bulb last week, but aside from that.....like I say....Perfect!!!!
