I Have 5 Platies What Else Should I Add To Tank?.

Nothing then. You really need to get a bigger tank, as the only fish you could really keep in there would be one Platy. I'd upgrade to a 15g or more if you want to keep all the ones you have now.

i was just going to get 1 male betta but the man at the pet shop said i could have platies, Neons, zebra, tiger fish and a few others i cant remember he said i could keep 20 in there personaly i think its to many was going to get 2 more, but i will deffo look in to upgrading my tank.

There's no way any of those fish will fit. Unfortunatly, you can't really trust people at most fish stores. There are some that are really into it, but most don't know much about fish. I wouldn't add anymore fish, and I'd take some back unless you'll be getting a new tank very soon.

im off to get one 2morrow now, what other fish could i add after i have sorted the tank out?.

Depending on tank size, you could add some Cories, maybe a school of fish. Pehaps a Gourami? It all really depends on what size tank you get. I'd say at least a 15 for the Platies. More if you want other fish. :)

Have u and tips for keeping Platies then?

I suggest a small iridescent shark or two. I know, I know, they can get big. They won't as long as you don't put them in a bigger tank. I have some, and I know they are pleasant, funny, and non aggressive fish who have dealt pleasantly with my own platies and swordtails.

On this forum we do not usually approve of stunting fishes growth by putting them in unsuitable living quarters. And the suggestion of adding an iridescent to an already overcrowded 4 gallon tank strikes me as utterly irresponsible. Do you know how small a 4 gallon is?

Good on you! Can I just add that it wasn't you I suggested was irresponsible but the person who suggested adding an irridescent shark. And that suggestion would also be irresponsible for a 20 gallon. I know you didn't make it.

Once you've got the 20 gallon set up, a small school of corys might make a nice addition; they get on well with platys and are fun to watch.
