I Hate Myself

For the first time ever, I by myself gave my beagle a bath. Normally my dad helps me, but today he couldn't. I guess I had the water to warm, because he got cold tail (limp tail). I feel so bad, he looks so miserable. I wish I knew that warm water could do that, I knew cold water did, but I just feel so bad.

Dont beat yourself up about it..... until it happens how are you to know that warm water will do this to your dog?

Beagles are prone to it, but no one really can say definitively what will and will not trigger it for each dog - now you know water of the temp you had it this time will set it off, you wont do that again.

You can be the best dog owner in the world but until you are psychic, can see into the future, you still wont be able to absolutely know if the water is a touch too cold or too warm.
