After searching and phoning every retailer in the UK I finally got hold of 4 very cute, very expensive zebra plecs
Now for the bad news They came via mail and one only lasted half a day The shop has promised to replace it but this is the first fish I have ever lost through stress. I am now paranoid about the remaining three and although I have lights out and a out of the way place for the tank I have to keep checking they are ok. They were all sitting on top of the bogwood the last time I looked..They are sooo cute
Great news, and even better to hear you got a group which is how Zebra Plecs should be kept. Do you know how many males/females you have? Are you planning to breed?
Not good news two of them died The stress of being transported in the mail got to them dispite all attempts. I still have two left and the guy who sold them me says he will replace the ones that didn't make it.
They cost me £55 each and one male one female died which leaves me with the same alive.
I am going to be locating more as I intend to breed them...they are under threat in their natural habitat so if people don't start breeding them them we wont have any
I will post some pics as soon as I am sure they are calm and not likely to die from the shock of the camera peering at them.
