I Got Platys!

Wow, beautiful tank! One of my platys is quite the chicken. Whenever I look at him he hides in the reef. The other platy is like "Feed me "

They'll get used to you in time. They are very friendly and normally run towards you whenever you approach the tank.

My first platys loved me from the start. The swordtail... not so much.

I only had one female swordtail which I got with my first platies. She put me off swordtails for good, though she was beautiful albino koi swordtail. She was very aggressive to my corys. She spend all day poking at them fortunately didn't have big enough mouth to hurt them but they couldn't even come out to eat at some stage.

Ya, my sword liked to pick on one of my platys. He was quick to, thats why I named him speedy.

Snazy, i get what you mean about platies being inseperable. I had two MALES get along super well. Like, never leave each others side. Except when there was food, then they would fly off lol.

Well males are a bit trickier. I had the same experience with two male platies that lived together for a year or two, side by side all the time. They bullied all the rest of the male platies. Then once I moved my females to this same tank the aggression between males increased and even these two turned against each other. One bullied the other almost to death. I had to move him out. But I've found females get along very well no matter.
