I got new FISH!!!

[The FISH made me do it!]

B) Today i went to Wal-Mart (I know I know ) and got some new fishies to put in my tank.

They are
1 Dalmation Molly Female lyretail
1 orange molly female lyretail
1 silver molly male lyretail
1 male guppy w/ a red tail and a yellow body (small round tail so he won't be bitten as much)
1 female guppy


already in the tank was:
One GIANT Guppy that is about 2 in long and bigger than my new mollies....he tail fin (sort of a green snakeskin thingy) is bigger than the male!!

How much salt would I add for the livebearers??
Would salt kill the plants?
And will salt kill ghost shrimp?? ( I don't have any....curious)

for your live bearers i would put a teaspoon of salt per gallon of water (or even less)
i myself prefer not to use salt as i choose to keep cories and other no-salt catfish
as for the ghost shrimp, they can live fresh water OR brackish water so no salt doesn't hurt them
and lastly some live plants (alot actually) unfortunately respond negatively, withering and dying when salt is added to the water
