I was looking in my local free crappy paper yesterday and there was an ad for a fish tank and some other bits and 20kg of live rock.
He only wanted £20 for the live rock so I called and went down to him and ended up buying

An aqua one 160l tank and stand
heater
wave maker
build in spray bar
2 x battery powered emergancy pumps
about 30kg of live rock
8 corals
5 Anemones
a couple of weird mushrooms and some hermit crabs

All for £80
The bloke was quite old and was closing down all his stuff he had already given his fish to the local shop which was a shame

I was proper happy

Nice buy which sort of anenomes did you get if unsure post a piccy ?

Is there any lighting with it ?

Ill get some PICs of the Anemones on tomorrow
The tank did come with some lighting 3 tubes two are marine tubes and one is a blue tube

I was in the middle of setting up a nano tank so all the rocks and Anemones and corals have gone in there for now and hopefully will be fine as I cant set-up new tank till next week.
There is also what I believe to be an Anemone closed up like a big upside down rain drop only dark brown, again Ill get pic on tomorrow

great deal well done

:hi: to the salty side.

It does sound like a bargain but I am a little concerned about the Nems, can you post some pics and stats asap.

As you have disturbed the sand bed and rocks you are likley to have a major problem with nitrates etc so I hope you have plenty of the salty stuff for water changes. Also the powerhead, have you covered it, if not that needs to be done as a matter of urgency, Nems that have been moved have a tendency to wander around the tank and for some unknown reason gravitate towards unguarded powerheads and death

How old are the tubes, I expect they will need replacing, otherwise there will not be enough of the correct light spectrum for the nems to survive very long. When the nems are open, try feeding them with shrimp, just drop it into their tentacles, they will appreciate it.

Anyways, best of luck and keep us updated :good:
