okay just seen the news and its the secnd time ive heard of the sea water PH dropping and now im beginning to really care about global warming, from CO2 it has dropped a 3rd apparently in 200 years. i found this really upsetting as i have been so arrogant about it in the past but now ive realised im going to get my #### in gear, and do something for the fish (and corals) that give us entertainment etc

how do other people feel about this?

I think this is a can of worms, with lots of conflicting opinions
I'm not going into my opinions on global warming, don't want the debate, nature itself also has a lot to do with global warming.

If you feel the need to get involved then good on you :good: but don't give yourself a hard time for not doing so in the past :flowers:

the ph drop is gradual so the fish and corals will adapt - they will have too, they have been adpating over thousands of years so they wont stop now

That is my thoughts on it anyway, but like Trod says not everyone will react the same unless it affects something close to them - like fish to you

sure they were'nt just using those test strips you wave in the water????

I really dont know what to make of all the conflicting info about global warming.

I do think one easy way to help combat it would be to insist via legislation that retailers only used certain materials for packaging and then insisted all local authoritys could recycle all materials on the approved list?

if you did you would know were im comming from.
if you give up smokeing you get with draw simptoms
so this world has been smokeing for 100s of years, take that away and this is mother natures way of putting every thing right.
dont know were globle warming its bloody freezing here up north

if you took c02 out of your tank what would happen :hyper:
your tank would change,it would not get what it used to get,so it would change.
here i rest my case, :good:

I totally agree on all 3 points. In my opinion the earth is changing mostly from itself. Some places are setting record or near record lows where as others are sporting near record highs.....maybe the frozen poles are switching??? Won't be in the same places in millions of years.

Just some thoughts from a women who reads and listens a lot.

I disagree :)

There are natural background rates of everything, for exapmple extinction, human activity has increased the background rate of extinction by 200X , and most animals are at risk due to human interferance (deforestation, poaching, blaaa blaaa blaaa)

Meh - one large volcanic explosion will put so much Co2 (and others) into the air we'll look like we've never touched the earth...

And as said above creatures adapt to changes or they go extinct, those that don't adapt do go extinct...
