Would be nice to set up a little aquarium - ideal for youngsters and beginners as no heater required only filtration

it would require alot of filtration since sticklebacks are very dirty fish,
i think a 15 gallon tank would be good but, you should try to keep only 1 male per tank,
since they tend to be very territorial.
so 1 male and many females would work

no, you would only have acclimatize them into room temperature
