Ive been checking out a few websites and they have all said to fit it onto the waste water pipe and the valve makes it bypass the flow restrictor causing the water to flow through at high pressure and clean out the membrain.
It hasnt arrived yet but i quickly used some spare pipe i had laying around and plumbed it into the waste water pipe with no flow restrictor and gave it a blast for a good minuite or so, hopefully thats cleaned it out enough but ill have to see in a bit as ime gonna pump a few gallons out of it first before checking if the TDS has dropped.
Got another dead fish, this time its my rock hopper

All stats are fine so i cant work out what has caused the 2 deaths.....spose thats just the way it goes.
Ime not giving up though all beat the algae eventually.
