Hi there,

I'm new to this forum and have been searching for such a forum for a while now so I'm glad to have found you all! :D

I currently have a Biorb (well it's my husbands actually, but i do most of the caring!) with 2x Guppies, 4 Neons, 5 Glowlights (one hospitalised due to bloated stomach), 2 otos and a dwarf bronze puffer name Brian. He is the light of my life and the apple of my husbands eye, he is the most friendly and intelligent fish you have ever met!

I also have a 10G (pending lager quarters) tank home to 3 sunset platies, 2 tiny albino cory's, 2 angel fish and my first ever Betta male Red. He's the most wimpish figher I've ever known.

I currently have in quarrentine 1 female Betta Splendens waiting to see her 2G bowl. Name pending.

Great to meet you all!

Hi

Welcome to the forum!!

i dont live far from you either! I live in Hull, i didnt realise there were others living so close :)

hi all thanks for the warm welcome!

Woodie - no i haven't been there I'll have to put it on my trawling list of lfs's!

:D

Hels - it is nice to know that I'm not the only fish nut in my area! lol!

Nice pics. I love angels and would really like to have a large (75 gallon or more) tank with nothing but angels. One small note on your bettas. Some of the rocks in the tanks looked kind of rough or jagged around the edges. Keep an eye out that they don't start ripping their tails and fins. I had that problem with mine. Also, plastic plants can do that too although I think all your plants are probably real.

Also, welcome to the forum. :hi:

rofl!

i have 2 real plants in there the rest are plantus plasticus!

The rocks are deceiving they are really soft, the grass plastic plants are a bit rough though but he likes to rest in them like a nest. I keep a very close eye on him for this reason and will re home him at the first hint of trouble.

Thanks for the concern though!

I thought some of them looked a little too green but you never know. The black substrate kind of threw me. A lot of people use the Eco Complete Planted which is black for their planted tanks. That's what I have in my planted 75 gallon. I love the look of the black sand/gravel and the green plants. Trying to figure out how to change my other tanks over without too much trouble.

IT was my husbands idea to have black gravel. He has a thing about black you see! :/

I must admit i love it though. He has so much better taste than me!

Welcome to the forums! I'm sure you'll love it here. :D

And you have very pretty Bettas...Wow, I just love the coloring on Red! Very pretty female too.
