Ok, aperently my heater is busted. Cause, I went to Marco's tank. I don't have a thermometer, forgot to purcachase one. So I dip my finger in the water. I'm like, omg, the water is like 100 degrees F! The heater only said 76. I lowered it down to 69, the water feels normal now, but I'm going to by a new heater. Poor Marco, I was wondering why he looked drowsy. I feel so bad :-( .

Please buy a thermometer they are as cheap as a buck or two. Save the fish the stress of flucuating temp

Glad to hear Marco is okay!

What sort of heater do you (or did you :p) have?

I'm not familiar with Neptune. I actually like the Marineland dual temp. set heater for the price.

It's really great that you caught it fast. I'm assuming you did since Marco is unharmed.

I broke my thermometer a while back. I finally got replacements now in all the tanks (except the coldwater.) But I went awhile without, just trusting my heaters, the stupid strip therms, and with the broken one to check.

I had that same problem with my heated before different brand though

DrsFosterandSmith. com have the 100 & 200 Marineland dual temp heaters on clearance right now. About five buisness days for delivery.

not to hijack the thread, I'm just wondering if 75F is too cold?
