I.d. This Cichlid?

It was sold as a "Red top cobalt zebra" It looks like a cobald zebra with light orange/red fins... appears to be a lab of some sort.... any ideas?

Its only a guess but it may be a greshakei.

I recomend you get a copy of Ad konings malawi cichlids its about the best book on cichlids profiles it also includes some of the trade names.

I'd get a good book or a camera. It's very difficult to keep id'ing fish with no photo.

Its a red top zebra.....

This is mine when wanting to spawn

many call it greshaki - but it is not - it also is definately NOT a lab.hongi

I have 3 they told me they were Ice Blue red top zebras

Ice blue red top is a another name for greshakei

What genuses are these zebra

Quick edit checked google it seems red top zebra is a bit of a vague name i have found about four different pictures each different ?

an ice BLUE Red top zebra is what some think are greshakis - it is not the proper name for a greshaki...

DIFFERENT fish completely - buy an Ad Konigs book and get it confirmed...
