I use plastic plants :(
That's ok as long as the fishes aren't getting scratched.
Nowadays the plastic plants are looking really real.

True, my favorite LFS has people I can speak honestly too, but still not all of them are like that. :p  My LFS realizes that new fish need to be in quarantine for two weeks, minimum.  Then there's also the time it takes for the fish to "break into" the tank.  That could take up to a week or more!  Although their return policy is 7 days, they throw that out when I fish is legitimately incompatible or just sick.  I once returned a swordtail a month after purchase.  They know I take good care of my fish :)

Do you name fish?
Yep.  It find it difficult to name my rummy noses though.  All my guppies have names.  As well as past bettas, mollies, swordtails, etc.

I'll be honest, in my experience as a kid/teen and fish - named fish always seemed to be the first to die.  Looking back, it had nothing to do with the name, and everything to do with what I was doing wrong.

Yea, it's sort of a joke anyway.  In more seriousness, I feel like when I name a fish, I get further attached, and then I'll be giving a more subconscious effort to take good care of him in sickness or health.  But yea, it's mostly a joke cause I get scoffed at for naming fish.
