Well first off I plan on getting 4 albino cory cats, and around 10 neon or cardinal tetras in a 15 gallon tank.

1: How much of a water change should I do weekly? 50%? 25%?

2: What temperature (in fahrenheit please) should the heater be set at?

1. rule of the thumb is about 20 percent weekly changes.
2.maybe around 75-80 degrees fahrenheit

Can't wait to see what the tank will look like!

i would up the number of cories to at least 6 - - they really prefer and thrive in larger groups. 6 should really be the minimum for any shoaling fish.

other than that.....looks and sounds good!!! don't forget to let us see pictures :hyper:

My corys and neons are at 75 F and doing well. I think that corys do not like to be as high as 80. But someone with more experience can answer that. Maybe post in the cory section. I think the two together are a great idea.

Ok thanks for the help karin! I do have one more question though. If I were to get 6 corys like Jenste said, would I have to get a bigger tank or would 15 gallons still be fine?

You'd be fine with a 15 gal, what filter you planning?

Are you dead set on the albino corys? or would you consider a different type of cory? The albinos are extremely active verging on the brink of being mental lol, you'll find they wont stay down the bottom, I dont have any albinos anymore but mine used to swim the length of the tank back and forth non stop for hours.

I'm not sure what filter I'm using yet, but the albino corys are the only type of corys they have in my city.
