I can't tell if my guppies are pregnant or what... Ive looked and looked and still can't tell.. i have looked up info and still can't tell for some reason.. One of them has a bigger belly, the gravid spot looks alittle bigger than the other fish but the other fish is younger so i am not sure.. She dosn't seem to slow down she's just doin what she normally does...swim around alot and dosn't seem to slow down..The other fish is smaller and i recently noticed she has a bigger tummy than before .. her gravid spot dosn't seem too look to dark and any bigger.. Now i feel stupid because i have read and read over and over and i still don't understand i guess because i can't tell.. The last time my fish had a baby was when she had a HUGE Belly.. and i was able to save a few but that was a platy though not a guppy. Is there any way i can tell besides just notiving the big belly? .. sorry for the long description..i am sure alot of people ask questions like this... :*)

if they have a gravid spot that normally means there pregnant  but if you can take any pictures i think we'll beable to sure weither there pregnant or not, but i'd say they were :)

you need some type of account, like photobucket.com or something! If they are still young they may not be pregnant either becuase young guppies have gravid spots are well!

lol i posted the smae thing once and it turned out it did have fry after all but it swam around normally all night before it had them but we need some pics :]

all female guppies have gravid spots right?

Do you have a male in with them? If so, 99% chance they are pregnant. There still is a good chance they are pregnant, if they've been with a male in the last 6 months or so. They may just not be that far along. A picture, as mentioned, would be helpful. You either sign up at Photobucket/ImageShack/etc. and link from there, or upload a picture off your computer in the Member's Aquarium and Fish Pictures section.

Thank you i will do that, and yes i do have 1 male in there with them, They have been in the tank together since aug or sep i think.. but the male and other female were babies then, and the mother of them she's big once again, and i think she got pregnant by him as soon as he was old enough to do it. Both females look like they might be so.. but not sure.. the younger female dosn't seem to be as big as the older one, stomach wise to..

looks pregnant to me too :D a good way to tell if they are ready to have babies is if they have a harder time swimming, their bodies get a little big squarer, and they will not eat when u feed the fish. sometimes they will try to eat and just spit it back out. also sometimes they will try and stay away from the other fish maybe hiding in a plant or something. buuuut sometimes it's just a suprise like my one guppy was, she was just swimming along just popping babies out! so u never know

sometimes you will notice that female guppies will start to waddle and want to be alone. This is a good indication she is near to giving birth

They all look quite pregnant to me :D. Well, it may be about, hmm... two and a half weeks until they are born, it is a little hard to tell by the size of the pics. Anyways, yeah, some definate behaivior is seperation from other fish. Then, if you want to keep the fry, I strongly recommend you to use a fry tank to hold fry in, not a breeder net :D :p

Thank you all.. you have been alot of help and i now know what to look for, and behavior. Thank you once again you all have been a great help
