I Bought Something(S) Online!

why yo so hyped up over fish food again? (i guess id be excited to to see some thing i ordered come in the mail lol)

Because I have never ordered fish food online! Besides that, I have heard good reports from this hatchery, and it's freshly made plus it's dirt cheap! It came in today. THe quality is simply top notch, the flakes are whole, not broken, the pellets are very fresh, you can smell them. I also got a free 2 oz bag of Brine Shrimp Flake. The labs took at the new pellets like crazy. I have never seen them eat like that. I am extremely satisfied with the hatchery. I will be buying fish food from then for now on!

Er.....

Don't know if you're American or something but typically 'GFY' in England doesn't mean 'Good for you'... I'll let you think up the alternative!! :p

Good shout on the food though, I'm trying to feed my fish some veggies at the moment but they don't seem to like them (yet)!

I would love to order all my fish stuff online. Right now, it's about half buying online and half buying at Wal-Mart due to where I'm situated. Extremely rural, nearest petstore somewhere around 5 hours away and the nearest GOOD pet store is 8 hours. That's not including Canada though. I think if you include Canada it would be somewhere around 2 hours. About the same would go for an LFS so... And, since it's below freezing here about 8 months out of the year, there's a very limited amount of time I would actually feel comfortable knowing fish are in the mail. Especially since our mailman is a lazy jerk who leaves all our packages outside instead of knocking. (I'm home almost 24/7).

You will have trouble if you go to Canada to buy fish and then return to the US with them. Forget all that guff about a free trade agreement, the US requires inspections of any livestock, including tropical fish, at the border and you do not want to know how much that costs. Suffice to say the annual permit required would be far too much for anything but a fish shop. Even that fish shop would be moving fish by the hundreds, at least, to make the inspection fee tolerable. You can send fish to Canada but not the other way around.

I know. We've been over the canadian several times. But it's why we almost never buy anything in Canada and I didn't really include Canada in my options when it comes to fish. I do eventually want to move Canada though. lol It's much better over there. Particularly, living in Vancouver or Victoria would be awesome.
