I bought a Pea Puffer

I've got a ten gallon with five dwarfs. I have a five gallon and a two gallon just to breed snails. It's hard to keep up. Feed them 2-3 at least 3 times a week.Crush the larger ones first, so they will eat their shell.

Ohhhh, man! "Crush their shells first"... oh, really?

I'll have to try the snail thing in a "little by little" type of experience before I'm comfortable crushing a snail... uugggg! :*)

I wanted to let anyone who was interested, to know I picked up a dozen free snails from PetSmart and put them in my Puffer's 5 gal tank.

 WHOA! I think I'll get more! My Puffer really went wild with the snails! Puffer just sucked the snail right out of the shell!

Great advice on the snails everyone!

Thanks!

UPDATE!

-_- Hum.....

The left over snail shells, after my puffer eats the soft snail, is growing fungi (I think it's fungi).

Anyone have advice for this one?

Thanks,
~Jen

Just remove them.
Good advice. Any uneaten food should be removed from a tank as soon as possible. Even things that are seemingly inert, like snail shells.
