I bought a new male betta

his fins are so long they are beautiful but they are so long I dont think he can swim for them has anyone ever had a betta with the tail fin so long it is about three inches or longer all he does is stay at the bottom I have had him in betta max for several days so I know he isnt sick he is so pretty he has black and purple and a little red in him he just glows under the light I just had to have him now I am worried that he cant swim very well.

Yeh, if he has very long and full fins, they'll weigh a lot and tucker the little dude out. I have halfmoons that go waving around a bit but then have to go take a rest on the bottom or on some plants. And when they get elderly, they do this vertical float thing (tail hanging down, head straight up).

HE SURE IS BEAUTIFUL I COULDNT HELP MYSELF WHEN I SAW HIM I HAD TO HAVE HIM I DIDNT CARE HOW LONG HIS FINS WERE I HAVE NEVER SEEN ONE THIS PRETTY BEFORE HE HAS A MIXTURE OF COLORS HE IS BLACK AND PURPLE AND HE HAS SOME CHERRY RED IN HIM TO I AM GOING TO SEND YOU ALL SOME PICTURES THREW MY WEBCAM I DIDNT THINK ABOUT THIS I ALMOST HAVE MY 55 GALLON UP AND RUNNING IN THE NEXT WEEK OR SO I WILL BE SENDING YOU ALL SOME PICTURES I CANT WAIT TO SHOW YOU ALL THIS BETTA HE IS SO PRETTY.
