I am still ALIVE!!!!

Hey there guys I am still breathing......but hey to my ? I got a female electric yellow that I noticed that it looks like her cheeks are all puffed out her throat is swelled it and she is taking in bigger gulps of water through her mouth..... is it possible that she is holding and if so how long is tipical for these fish?

Sounds like it to me!! She will also be off food, may appear a little darker and seem to be "chewing gum" (tumbling the eggs) Mine have held around 3 weeks give or take a few days. If you look you can actually see the eggs in there. They will appear a pale yellow to white and as they develop (if fertile) will turn brown. Good luck!!

that is what it looked like last night.... she didn't eat all she did was hide in a cave, then this morning she ate although she was the last one to eat anything.... so now I think I am going to cry.
