i bought an aquael mini heater for my little kitchen tank which is going to be a shrimp tank. dimensions are 1ft by 9 inch by 7 inch (how many L is this?) there is no thermostat on the plug it was just a picture that said 'not included' under it. i stupidly didnt read the box properly. the temp is now 29 lol good job theres no stock in the tank as yet and to be even more of a wally ive thrown the box away that tells me how to get that thermostat plug lol does anyone know these heaters or can recommend a better heater for my size tank, think i'll just buy another to be honest

what shrimp are you keeping Sarah? As most won't need a heater at all. Cherries for example can tolerate a massive shift in temps. The more sensitive ones like graded CRS can also breed and manage without a heater, as long as the room temp is constant.

yeah i did google it its easy enough to find but not this thermostat plug you replace the plain plug with...
as for shrimp im hoping to get some black or blue tigers/ blue black stripe crs... looking into whether i will get my hands on any lol
its also my assassins home which are all rented out on jobs at the mo, if someone leaves the kitchen window open it can get down to about 20, that was the only reason for one, no matter how many times i say someone leaves it open. so if i lock the window and hide the key you think the shrimp and assassins will manage? i'll start logging the temp see how it goes, ive moved it off the window to along the wall, might help
