A very beautiful gudgeon. They look somewhat aggressive but they're actually quite friendly. They're in my community tank. It takes quite long before they color up intensively and show their real sex. So, if you;ll buy young fish, you should be very patient before they'll become impressive...
Although, they alco occur in brackish water, I keep them already in freshwater for years. So, they do well in both types of water. You also don't need specifically a heater for they'll do well at room temperature. Although, they're omnivores, they are more carnivores than herbivores.
