Hey, i heard on another post someone mentioned bettas getting hypothermia in water temps of like 68, i looked at my males tank and my female tank and noticed they were both very lose. my females didn't look to bothered but my male has been a bit slow lately. i got some heat in there as soon as i could and he perked right up. iv got a heater going in my room to keep the room temp right, because i dont thing the flouresent tank lights are going to do it. i dont like the bulb hoods because they make the water look yelowish and it doesn't bring out the colors of the fish but it does do a great job of heating the water. this whole thing is kinda funny considering i almost cook all my fihs this summer id use heaters because the cords are 2 short to reach the outlits, all my tanks are up high on a rack... i should move them but iv got no where else to put them. does anyone else have heating problems with thir bettas and fother fish? i always thoght bettas could live in colder water like gold fish i dont know y thogh
