Hydrometer - Any Good?hi

Hi,

Just about to setup a brackish tank and was looking at a hydrometer on ebay.. Can anyone tell me if this will do the trick or is it for top end (marine)

I can't tell by the picture. Ask the seller whether the scale goes from 1.000 to 1.027 or not. Some designed strictly for marine aquaria run on a limited scale, e.g., 1.016 to 1.027, and that's no good. But most go right down to 1.000, and that's the kind you want. Brackish water aquaria are typically run at SG 1.003 to 1.010, depending on the fish.
