Hey everyone,

Does anyone know if a Hydor Inline Heater will fit the hose on a TT EX700 External Filter? I am yet to take delivery of my set up and would like to order the inline heater if it will fit the hose on the TT EX700?

Also would a 300W heater be overkill for a 200L tank? should I just go for the 200W?

Regards
Dan :good:

The ID of your hoses is 11.3 mm I believe. The hose ID needed for the 200 watt is 12mm. You would need to use a 12mm ID hose and use a clamp on the filter end to insure a tight fit. The 300w is a 16mm ID and would be a hassle to make work.

Would it not be possible to just stretch the pipe the 0.7 mm needed to fit over the heater?

I use the 200w and they both come in 12-16 or 16-20. My pipes are 16mm and the 200w fits the 12-16 perfectly, i have read about people struggling to get the inlines to fit Fluval pipes due to the lining in the pipe. I use the 200w on a 50g :good:
