ive tried amazon swords.. they get munched.. cambomba gets munched, hornwart gets munched.. wisteria stuff munched

they are like hungry hungry hippos.. they never stop eating either.. everytime i go near the tank they all come up and want fed..

i feed them like 8 times a day probably cause they wont stop eating..

and when im not feeding them they eat the plants..

ive got one tank thats covered in algae, so im moving all my plants in there to hopefully eat up the stuff the algae is eating

re arranging tanks/fish is tons of fun

i bought some more fish today.. a tail-less convict.. a rainbow X texas or jack dempsey, and 10 tiger barbs as target fish for when i breed stuff

the rainbow cichlid X something is really cool looking..

its got large blue/green spots on it like a jack dempsey or texas.. ill get some pics of my camera ever comes home

in truth by the time that the texas and the RD get to breeding size they will probably kill anything else you try to put in there to breed. the other part of your plan that fails is that for the most sucessful hybirdizataion, you are going to at least need fish that are somewhat closely related IE the con and the jellys. if you want the texas or the RD to do anything for you you are going to have to get them a bigger tank which you are going to have to get in the end to keep them as adults anyways.

the texas has been acting weird lately with one of my jellybeans..

i know the texas is a female and the jelly is a male.. theyve been putting rocks in a pot and have been spending a lot of time in there... which i find very odd..

the jelly is the most aggressive fish in the tank, while the texas is one of the least

when they get big i dont plan on breeding them unless i use the divider method.. i dont want to risk anyone killing each other, thats why im tryin to do it when theyre young

i never really planned on breeding the red devil.. just a fish i thought would be cool to have by itself in a tank one day

guess whos breeding :D

the texas female and the psycho killer male jellybean..

im shocked... the most aggressive and least aggressive fish in the tank decided to spawn..

theyve dug a big pit to the glass around one of the pots, and wont let any of the fish near it..

tomorrow ill be setting up the 33g and i guess they will be the new inhabitants.. very shocked to see them spawning, but also very excited

hope they will be ok to raise the fry themselves.. i think i will take out 20-30 of the babies and try to raise them myself, just in case they decide to eat their first spawn

have heard of people removing both parents, or the male, or the female.. does anyone do this? or just leave em and let them work things out themselves?

hate to disappoint you guys but because caspercanuk was another username for a previously banned member, there won't be any pics.
