here is my 46G bow front. Mostly stocked after doing a fishless cycle. Gonna wait about a month then add maybe one more shoal of something small not sure what yet.

Excuse the water it's still slightly cloudy since I did a water change and moved some plants around.

first pic with flash.(still getting the hang of taking pictures of curved glass)

I think tonight I'm going to put some very fine poly filtration pads in the filter to try to polish up the water.

were did u get thoughs rocks in the front left? im getting that exact tank by the way (pengin bioweel filter, deul lights, heater and all for 160$ (went on sale))

Beautiful! I've got a 46g bowfront as well. It's pretty much stocked and I'm having a lot of fun with it.

with the cloudiness I'm not sure it deserves TOTM.
It has Bala's
Red Gouramis Or Flame gouramis
Danios
Neon's
Cardinals
Panda cories.

Dragonfish the rocks I picked up locally for free they're kinda lying around all over this area. Just boiled them for about an hour to make sure nothing nasty was on them

I'm sure you've read this over and over in many threads, but I'll say it again, bala sharks cannot be kept in 46 gallon tanks. The minimum is 75, you should look over your stocking methods.

Thanks for the tip sparky.

I've also said many times that within 9 months there will be a 155 Bow in my house.

They'll be just fine till then since they're MAYBE 3 inches right now.

i don't know what u people see great about the tank.. to be honest, the big rocks are not appealing..overall, it needs improvement! Sky, it looks like somebody dropped a log and a bunch of rocks into your tank. again, im just being honest like everybody else who cannot really express their true feelings. it's really hard to accept but ultimately, the truth hurts.

P.S. The tank being named as "Tank of the Month" is just ridiculous! It shocked me! :dunno:

Peace to all!

I actually spent quite a bit of time trimming that driftwood. orienting it so that it would leave enough swimming space but still allow it's caves. The rocks are placed in such a way it allows a cave/hiding space for the fish that they can swim into from both the front or rear of the structure. The rock on the far right of the tank is scheduled to come out as soon as the driftwood will stay sunken on it's own as wil the rock in the center closes towards you that is on top of the wood.

You made a similar comment before when it was much less asthetically appealing than it is now. It's easy to spew a negative comment. What would you do to change it? What style of tank do you like? Most natural environments for fish aren't neat and tidy little places. Would you prefer just an open space where there is no place to get out of the light or shade?
