Over the past few days a female goldfish in my pond has been continually chased around by 2 male goldfish, a male shubunkin, a male golden rudd, and later, a 25cm long male koi started doing laps around the pond too!

For approximately 4 hours I was able to chop away large pieces of blanketweed containing orange coloured eggs which seem to have some small black dots on one side of them.

i'd simply like to know if a orange coloured egg with a black dot is a fertilised egg or a unfertilised egg? I've left them on the blanket weed I chopped away from the pond walls and transferred the blanketweed to a cube shaped breeding net which is located in a unused region of the filtration unit. Is this an ideal place to put the eggs?

im no expert with cold water fish but i know if that was a tropical fish egg and it had dot in it it means fertile eggs
