I put cumcumber in for my Pleco and i must say he loves it! I also feed chicken to my 2 Red Oscars, they nearly love it more than my dog!!!

What kind of fish have you??

Green leaf lettuce that has been in the freezer for just a few minutes is great for veggie eaters. Zucchini for my Pleco was always a big hit. The Koi would eat frozen green peas that were popped out of the skin. French cut green beans the cats and plecs ate. But by far the strangest thing I have ever seen was a VERY large Pacu that loved pepperoni from pizza. They also liked a slice of orange.

The majority of the foods i feed my fish are for human consumption, i buy all my prawns, shrimp, mussel, cockle, whitebait and clams from the fish mongers in kilo bags which work out less than a quarter of the cost of buying the equivilent from a lfs. I also buy courgette (zuchini) and rommaine lettuce from the super market for the few herbivorous fish i have and feed slices of raw potatoe to my plecs.
